Hendricks grew up singing in the church as most of the greats have, and began crafting her career around the age of 14; when she discovered her passion and talent was something she wanted to do professionally. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Hendricks was raised in Atlanta, Georgia where she launched her career performing in high school plays and talent shows. Her love of 90’s era R&B love songs played an influential role on her style today. Listening to the likes of Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, Anita Baker and the late great Whitney Houston; Hendricks poignant sound is evidenced by her legendary predecessors. Not originally a fan of studio work, Hendricks preferred performing live for her fans. A woman who with her own sound and incomparable work ethic, now calls the studio home whenever she’s not commanding the adoration of a live audience.
A breath of fresh air musically, Hendricks profound voice, gives listeners a glimpse into her powerfully, inspirational dream of saving the world one note at a time. Her latest single “No Good”, was produced by multi-platinum group The Exclusives and has already created quite a stir; despite not being set to drop officially until February and has Hendricks on everyone’s artist to watch list. “No Good” was originally written from Hendricks real life experience with an evasively-suave Mr. Wrong, but the single has taken on a life all its own, proving to be So Good for Hendricks. Currently gearing up to release her EP in 2017, Hendricks has remained busy, in and out of the studio and even found time for a cameo on BET’s first hour-long scripted drama Being Mary Jane.
Exuding strength and fearless femininity, Hendricks has proven herself to be in a league of her own. Hendricks is a humble artist who hopes to make good music relevant once more and hopes to inspire others through song. Not here for the games, Hendricks talent is her truth, and winning never sounded so good.
